Week 5

This week we cut nine blocks which will be used as the O's and X's blocks.

The cubes looked like this:



We then we branded an 'X' into one side and an 'O' in the other using a bench drill. We heated up the metal parts of the machine to extreme temperatures and then burnt the X and O into the blocks. 


We also put finish on everything this week. 


The finished product looked like this:


Week 4 continued

By the end of this week i had glued all the divider into the frame.

I also had to glue the base onto this. It then looked a bit like this:



Week 3-4

At the end of week 3, i had finished making the dividers using halve joints.












Then at the start of week 4 i had all my dividers ready and i then glued them into my previously made frame.

Week 3

This week I glued the frame together and started to make the dividers using half joints, which go in the middle of the frame.

Week 2

We started to make the frame of our O's and X's box this week by using lots of techniques with tools such as:
- saw
- mallet
- chisel
- tri square
- marking gauge

Week 1

This week we drew up our O's and X's box in google SketchUp and complete safety tests.

First Project - O's and X's Box

Our first project that we are making this year is a O's and X's box. We started to make this in week 2 of term 1.
